We are looking for volunteers

The success of Council of 3M National Fellowship events isn’t possible without the help of the 3M Fellows in the planning and organization of the various initiatives that the Council Executive proposes. We hope you will find a bit of time in your schedule to consider volunteering to help with one of these projects.

WorkingGroupElections Nomination Committee: In the new year you will be electing new “members at large” to the Executive of the Council. We need to assemble a Nominations Committee to make the call for nominations and take care of the election procedures. (You can see additional information in the of the bylaws: 6.6 Election of Members at Large and 6.6.4 The Nomination Committee). Elizabeth Wells has agreed to Chair the Nominations Committee and we need two additional volunteers to give a hand.

Welcome to my Classroom: The Welcome to my Classroom initiative is now a permanent part of the STLHE Conference program. The working group that will evaluate and choose the three presentations for the National Conference needs an additional member to join Jon Houseman, Roger Moore, and Rhonda Amsel to evaluate the submission shortly after the submission deadline in January.

Special 3M Fellowship Celebration – STLHE Vancouver 2015 2015 is the 30th anniversary of the 3M National Teaching Fellowship and the Council Executive is starting to plan for the event. Elizabeth Wells has agreed to head up a steering committee and is looking for volunteers to join in the planning of the events in Vancouver.

Please take a few minutes to consider becoming involved with the Council of 3M National Teaching Fellows and contact either Elizabeth Wells (ewells@mta.ca) or Jon Houseman ( Houseman@Uottawa.ca ) before Jan 24 and let us know what you would like to give a hand with.
